Top 3 Fave Lipglosses

What's a girl without her lip gloss? Lip gloss is like our staple go to item when it comes to prepping the face. However, depending on which one you use lip gloss can either be a STAPLE STELLAR or an EPIC FAIL. Check out my all time 3 fave glosses.

$10.00 @ Sephora

Sephora's glosses are my absolute FAVE FAVE FAVE. It doesn't cake up and leave white residue like most glosses and this one gives you the absolute perfect pink nude lip.

$2.99 @ local beauty supply store

NYX also makes a great line of glosses. I like that they are kind of thick and stay on for a really longtime so your not touching up as much. I hate applying gloss and its gone after 5 minutes NYX glosses do the opposite.

$5.49 @ Target

Lancome glosses smell absolutely amazing AND leave your lips really shiny!

Victoria by Victoria Beckham

Date Series: Lunch Date

Lunch dates are always super fun whether its with your girls or out to eat with your boo ;) Dates like these can be casual or dressy here's a few of my tips to fit the part.

1. With lunch dates it's okay to go with high heels/platforms or really STELLAR sandals. I wouldn't recommend wearing sandals to a dinner date.

2. Wear something casual like a nautical striped tank paired with a wide leg linen pant and heels. Comfortable yet STELLAR is what you should be going for.

3. Sundresses/Maxi's always look pretty STELLAR for lunch dates, pair with sandals or wedges and a pair of really nice shades.

4. You can also come really casual wearing jeans BUT make sure you have on a heel/platform and your shirt is very feminine. The feminine top will dress up the jeans a little more.

5. Smile, know you look FAB and enjoy yourself (most important tip)

Chris Benz + Lancome

Chris Benz and Lancome have collaborated AGAIN just in time for summer :) Benz has put his stamp on a limited edition adorable bag filled with Lancome goodies. If you spend $60 or more this month at Saks Fifth Avenue or saks.com this bag is all yours.

Curious about what's in the bag? Mascara, face and hand creams, blush, lipstick and lipgloss.

Oil Stains

Ladies spilling food and juice on your clothes is bound to happen at least once in your lifetime, but what if you spilled oil on a dress or shirt that was your absolute fave and because you don't know how to treat the stain you never wear that top of yours again. THAT SUCKS! Well...here are a few tips on how to treat an oil stain on clothing.

1. As soon as you get the grease or oil stain its VERY important to treat it. The quicker the stain gets attention the better the outcome.

2. Apply an absorbent like cornstarch, baby powder, salt or talcum powder and let it sit on the oil stain for 1 to 2 mins then brush it off.

3. You can try using dish detergent that specializes in grease removal like DAWN. Apply a few drops to the stain. Let it sit on top of the clothing item for a few minutes then take a paper towel and blot, blot. blot the stain. Then wash the garment as you regularly would.

'Style Spotlight'

Ladies meet Tiffanie Coleman an outspoken Washingtonian that isnt afraid of her age and will dress how she feels. I met her while shopping for some vintage frocks in DC one day and fell in love with her style.

1. Describe your personal style?

"My personal style mimics the wedding adage, "something old, something new." I could be wearing a top from the 80's and bottoms from last year. It's all about mixing decades."

2. Who are some of your FAVE designers?

"If I could alternate wearing a Diane von Furstenberg or L.A.M.B. piece, with Michael Kors' shoes every day, I would!"

3. What is it about FASHION that you love?

"I love the personality stories that fashion tells. I can look over pictures of me, from years ago, and see that I'm the same loud chick with a sometimes questionable, but undeniably, unique style."

4. If you were stranded on a desert island and could only bring 1 of your fave items ofclothing with you what would it be?

"If stranded during the winter, I'd bring my velour catsuit, so I'd be sexy and warm. If stranded during the summer, I'd be simple and bring my turquoise, racerback, maxi dress (which I've had for years). Again, I'd be sexy and cool. Ha!"

5. Who's your celeb 'StyleCon'?

"My StyleCon has changed over the years, but right now it's Solange Knowles. She's retro-chic, and I love it."

6. What does 'FASHION' mean to you?

"I hate to sound cliche answering this question. Fashion means self expression, which goes beyond casually throwing on a pair of jeans and tee. For me, it's adding a little foundation and mascara (can't forget the make-up contribution), an insane amount of bangles, and a pair of stud earrings. It's about making a statement, even if I'm the only one in the audience."

Model Potential

Ladies...do you have what it takes to be a supermodel? If so....it's become even easier for you to break into the fashion world. Select Models and Vogue UK have merged with Iphone to release an app 'Model Potential' which allows you to upload a picture of yourself and have it sent to bookers at elite UK model agencies. The app will scan your picture and analyze your facial dimensions to determine if you have what it takes to grace the runways or spreads of magazines. This sounds pretty exciting they need to make an app for Android now ;)

Ladies meet India Proctor a "Stylista" who says being comfortable is the most important thing about her style.

"I can't live without a comfortable pair of Robin's Jean and Bath and Body Works Lemon and Black Cherry Lip Balm."
