NYFW

Whew…it has definitely been awhile. Hi…Hello… my name is Starema and I’m a fashion blogger lol just kidding. It’s been so long I feel like I have to reintroduce myself J. I hope all has been well with you all. As for me busy, busy, busy hence the reason why you guys haven’t seen much of me. I guess you could say I took a short hiatus from blogging since I’ve moved. I haven’t blogged nearly as much this year as I did previously. But….scouts honor I’m back at it for you guys J
Speaking of New York and moving can you believe this week marks my one year anniversary as an official “New Yorker” and boy let me tell you, I have learned so many new things, not only about myself but others as well. While the constant hustle and bustle of New York City can be overbearing at times, even for some of my friends who were born and raised here. I can truly say I never regret the decision I made to move. One of the best decisions I have ever made for so many different reasons.
Now…. Enough of my rambling let’s get to the good stuff. “Fashion”. Well, as you know NYFW was last week, and what a great time to be living in this city. I attended several events and had an awesome time meeting new faces. Below check out my looks for each day.

Day 1
I decided to keep things simple but with a tiny touch of sass. So I threw on this sheer skirt from Express which you can also see me rocking HERE, with my favorite black crop top. My top hat added that extra bit of spunk, while I opted for these black buckled booties for my feet. I knew I would be doing a lot of walking Day 1 so they definitely kept me comfortable.

Day 2

Talk about “Easy Chic”! When I laid my eyes on this Orangina suede number with satin shoulder appliqués I just knew I had to have it. The dress/shirt was so comfortable but did not compromise style which is always a great thing. I paired it with a navy blue top hat to compliment the orange color scheme and my favorite butter cream booties .I loved how the look was so effortless and gives the “My Boyfriends Shirt” type of vibe. Easy and Effortless!

Day 3
Think “Sporty Spice” I enjoyed how the two piece jacket/skort was so versatile and could be dressed up with heels or dressed down with sneakers which I opted for. Because it was pouring raining in NYC this day I wanted to go for a head wrap that made a subtle statement. Taking this look from standard to stunning.

Day 4
Call me “Florina” I love these floral pants I snagged at Zara a few seasons back. I was trying to go for a little sexy sass with the no shirt vibes, but to be honest with you guys this wasn’t my favorite look of the week. I would say “Meh”.

Day 5
I could live in this checkered onsie if I really wanted to. Such an easy piece to throw on with sneakers and dress up with a simple pair of heels and clutch. I will definitely be wearing this again for Fall & Winter.

Day 6
Big Bird couldn’t win a color block battle with me even if he wanted to. This day I decided to celebrate summer with a color blocked co-ord set look that I loved. I scored this yellow duster at a local vintage store about a year ago. The shorts were a summer Zara find that matched perfectly and, believe it or not my shirt was created by me.

Day 7
“Black-Out”….I decided to revisit  Day 1 with black and sheer, for the last day of fashion week.
