Change

Change…… if there is one thing in life that is guaranteed its CHANGE. Not sure exactly why this word is on my heart this morning but it is. I think so many of us in life are so afraid of change whether that’s moving, getting a new job, ending a relationship, starting a new one, or just simply changing or rearranging the look of our apartments or houses. What is it about change that makes us all so fearful? I truly believe as human beings we like stability; we like the assurance of things. What I mean by this is….. we like knowing what’s around the corner and what to expect, so we can properly prepare ourselves for whatever is next. So when change comes out of nowhere we get all frazzled and go hay wire. I remember my best friend always told me “People come and go and it’s the CHANGE that defines who we truly are” I have held that quote dear to my heart since the day he said it because it is so very true… Things happen in life; you fall out of love, you fight with your friends, you grow tired of doing the same things everyday, you get bored, you argue with your husband, you gain weight, you lose weight, you start a business, you dye your hair etc… It’s all just a natural part of life….it’s a part of change. It’s how we essentially deal with the change that really defines who are as people. So as I was searching for today’s quote I came across this one that really hit home for today’s topic on CHANGE hope you enjoy it.
If we don’t change, we don’t grow. If we don’t grow we aren’t really living. Things do not change; we change. The key to change is to let go of fear. Change will not come if you wait for some other person or some other time. When will your time for change come? When will you stop waiting for the perfect timing and go out and create that time for yourself? Stop sitting on your gifts, your talents, your abilities, your words. If you have to say something say it, if you want to do something do it. Time waits for no one. So go out there and change the world one second, one minute and one day at a time.
